Day three with COVID. I thought I did everything right. Got vaccinated, always double masked, and engage in social distancing. Well, I could have done a better job social distancing. I caught COVID from a close friend who I assumed was also doing everything right. However, she wasn’t always masking up, because she assumed the vaccine would be enough. I’m disappointed.
My symptoms have been fairly mild, except for a debilitating headache, it’s the worst pain I’ve ever experienced. During the day the coughing isn’t that bad, but it keeps me up at night. My sense of smell and taste are still intact. I hope it stays that way, because I love to cook and eat.
What no one ever talks about is the loneliness. The isolation is sad. These last few days away from my parents and grandfather has been the absolute worst. Phone calls are sporadic because of the headaches.
Speaking of headache…. Gotta have a lie down. We’ll talk about some more about it tomorrow.
