R Kelly – Judgement Day

By SheelaR

In America, black women have historically been the least protected, loved, and respected. So, it should come as no surprise that with all we know, R Kelly is still the benefactor of black protectionism. It’s been at least two decades since we learned of his predilection for young girls. In 2002, we saw a video of Kelly urinating into the mouth of a teenage girl. It is also a fact that he married and impregnated 15-year old Aaliyah Houghton. Instead of holding him responsible, the community shamed blamed and his young victims.

His fame bought him unwavering love and reverence that most celebrities enjoy, however, he’s not like most celebrities. He is a abusive sexual predictor. He’s the sickest kind there is. In 1994, he was accused of multiple sexual offenses with underage women, including child pornography. That case took six years to go to trial. When it finally did, the girl whom the prosecutors had identified declined to cooperate, as did her parents. He was eventually acquitted of that charge, and his career continued uninterrupted.

Those early charges should have ended him. He should have been cancelled decades ago. It’s time to end the unbroken reign these animals enjoy. No more coddling men that rape and defile your young daughters, sisters, and nieces. Where is your line in the sand? Where is your instincts to protect young women and girls? If you support him, you own part of this

I cannot and will not separate the man from his music. Music didn’t sooth that savage beast, but at least the beast that is R Kelly, has been silenced.
